More Samsung Galaxy S IV rumors peg Snapdragon 600 for U.S. and Exynos 5 Octa for International

Samsung Galaxy S IV Unpacked Event
The further we go down the rabbit hole, the more exciting and frustrating thing become. We are just about two weeks away from the big Samsung Unpacked event where we all get to see the new Samsung Galaxy S IV. We have seen rumors that pegged the S IV as using the new Exynos 5 Octa chip set a number of times. Then another set of leaks stated it will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600. Now it would seem that both rumors are true, just depending on where you live.

According to the Taipai Times, Samsung will be slapping the Exynos 5 Octa chips in the European and most international models and the Qualcomm chip in the U.S. versions. Why, well, LTE of course. Samsung took the same approach with the Galaxy S III last year. We expect Samsung to do something a little different for those of us in the US on some front since the chip will be totally different. The S III stateside received 2GB of RAM with the different dual-core chip and the European model got the quad-core chip and 1 GB of RAM. Lets hope they make up for it again this time around.

We aren’t complaining or anything, both chips are pretty amazing. We just sometimes hate having to be different and lose out on some of the amazing things we hear because LTE is such a pain in the butt. Would this chip variance at all surprise any of you? We will still keep it in the rumor bin and sit back twiddling our thumbs until the official announcement on March 14th. We expect some pretty wonderful things to take place though.
