The Moto X feature, Peak Notifications, was able to come to our phones wrapped in a nice little app called ActiveNotifications. The downside about the app was that you had to have Android 4.3, and you had to have an AMOLED screen in order to use it. Well l today, the developers of this crafty app decided to update it bringing ActiveNotifications to any device running Android 4.1 and up.
Keep in mind, if you do not have an AMOLED display this app could potentially kill your battery. The whole purpose of Peak Notifications is to use the Moto X’s AMOLED screen to use the minimal amount of power to display the notifications you have received on your phone. Other than that, it seems to be working pretty well on my HTC One. There is a free version as well as a paid version to try out, so give the free one a whirl before you open that wallet up. Let us know how you like it.
