When we look back at that leaked Verizon inventory which shows the Motorola Droid PRO among devices like the Droid 2 Global which we just saw images of that device recently. Yesterday was big day for Motorola which we learned that AT&T would claim 3 new Motorola devices the BRAVO, FLIPSIDE and FLIPOUT while Verizon picks up the Droid PRO and the CITRUS, T-Mobile picks up the DEFY and the SPICE heads for Latin America.
The Droid PRO is a device that no one really expected as it focuses on the business users as the device will dual GSM/CDMA and sports a full-QWERTY keyboard on the face as well as a touch screen. Every device announced yesterday features Android 2.1 which is kind of disappointing as Android 2.2 is the new hotness, but we’ll just have to see if these devices pick up an update before launch.
Features of the Motorola Droid PRO include:
- Android 2.1Â 2.2 (according to spec sheet)
- Motoblur UI
- 3.1″ display
- full-QWERTY keyboard
- World roaming capabilities (dual GSM/CDMA)
- Advanced E-Mail and Calendar options
The Motorola Citrus which was recently also going under the name Ciena was a device that some have thought may have been cut from the Verizon team, but obviously Verizon is still on board with this device as it will be hitting shelves later this year. This device has been confirmed by our Verizon ninja to be an entry-level device which we suspected as previous leaks for this device haven’t really shown us anything that would appeal to the power users.
Features of the Motorola Citrus include:
- Android 2.1
- Motoblur UI
- 3-inch QVGA screen
- 3MP camera
- 3.5mm headset jack
While Motorola has thrown out some pretty disappointing devices, what do you think about the Motorola Droid PRO?
