Although I may not fully understand why they would need to drop the second edition of this device in the same year, it is still nice to see updated devices landing in the hands of consumers. The Atrix 2 is said to launch for $99 on a new two year contract and offer 21 mbps data speeds and launch with Zumocast. It is a pretty great phone for a very reasonable price.
According to the full press release, this device along with 4 others are headed to AT&T by the years end. This exceeds the promise they made in January to bring 12 new Android devices to the carrier. AT&T now has released or will have released a total of 19 Android powered devices before the year is over. That is one heck of a line up. Feel free to check out the full press release below for details on a few of the other devices that they have in store for us.
