The CLIQ 2 was first brought to our attention back at the end of September when we also learned that its code name was to be the Motorola Begonia. That was the speculation after seeing T-Mobiles leaked Road map. The date on that leak lead us to believe that November 1st was the scheduled release date. That day of course has come and gone. Today though, the CLIQ 2 emerged in a very small document.
Rumored features of the Motorola Begonia (CLIQ 2) include:
- Android 2.2
- Solid full-QWERTY keyboard
- No gaps between keys
- Described as interesting
- 3G hotspot support
- Wi-Fi calling feature
I am not all that excited about this device personally. Even if the delays were to hopefully better the device with Gingerbread or the new dual Tegra chips. T-Mobile and Motorola haven’t been able to bring any game changers to the Android table.
