The Motorola Droid PRO is now available from Verizon and although the device doesn’t hit shelves until the 18th, customers who purchased this device already have stated that they’ll have the device by Friday which is a little less that a week before launch. This device is running for $179 after rebates and a 2-year service agreement.
Features of the Motorola Droid PRO include:
- Android 2.2
- Motoblur UI
- 3.1″ display
- full-QWERTY keyboard
- World roaming capabilities (dual GSM/CDMA)
- Advanced E-Mail and Calendar options
If you’re looking to get your hands on this device, head here. Next up is the Motorola Droid 2 Global, which Verizon has yet to announce. The Droid 2 Global comes in two color options:
- Dark Sapphire
- Winter White
The Droid 2 Global features world roaming capabilities with its dual GSM/CDMA bands and also features a 1.2GHz processor. This full-QWERTY slider replaces the original Droid 2 and we’re wondering if they’re trying to silently push this device to avoid a backlash from previous Droid 2 buyers.
Features of the Motorola Droid 2 Global include:
- Android 2.2
- 1.2GHz processor
- Dark Sapphire and Winter White color options
- 5MP camera with dual LEDÂ flash
- Dual band CDMA and Quad band GSM
- Physical keyboard plus Swype
- 8GB internal memory plus 8GB pre-installed SD card
- 3 profiles to switch between (sort of like Sense UI themes)
- 3G hotspot
- Flash 10.1
We reported yesterday that a November 29th launch was circled for this device, but clearly that is not the case. If you’re looking to pick up this device, there’s a chance you may have it by the weekend. Head over to Verizon’s product page to take action in this mobile investment.
