Motorola Droid 2 to Receive Maintenance Update?

According to Motorola, a maintenance OTA update for the Motorola Droid 2 is on its way in batches that should fix the Exchange issues and bring the device to the same software version as the Motorola Droid X which just got updated to version 2.3.15. Kellex from Droid-Life had a conversation with their live support, you can check out his conversation below.

Kellen B: HI Romella, I’ve been having Exchange issues on my DROID 2. I know that the DROID X received an update to version 2.3.15 which fixed alot of these. Will I be receiving an update to this too?
Romella: Yes. There are sending in in batches. That is maybe why you have not received the upgrade yet.
Romella: Try to go to your settings>about phone> system update.
Kellen B: Checking now
Romella: Thanks.
Kellen B: Looks like it’s not ready for me yet. But the update to 2.3.15 for the Droid 2 is definitely on the way?
Romella: It has been released. Let us just wait for the notification on the phone on how to download it.
Romella: We apologize for the inconvenience.

You can start manually checking your Motorola Droid 2 by going to Settings>About>System Updates or just wait for the update to arrive. Support reps are very unreliable with this update, but we’ll just have to assume it’s already rolling out. Have any of our Droid 2 readers received this update yet? Let us know in the comments below.
