Mosts Droid X fans are already intimately familiar with the Gingerbread test ROM that leaked back in March. Although this leak was put through the paces it was never mentioned for official release and has since been rejected by Verizon. So when is it that this Verizon flagship device will see the likes of Android 2.3?
According to rumors a new build is being worked on with a version number of 4.5.591. This new new update has supposedly been sent to Verizon by Motorola and is pending approval which could come as soon as tomorrow. If all goes well testing will be started on these new ROM and updates could possibly roll out as soon as two weeks from now. For certain Droid X owners this update couldn’t come any sooner.
