With all the anticipation surrounding the information, or absence of, regarding Motorola “new” addition to the Droid line, it’s almost a shame to report the news the most recent leaks suggests. According to SCK Kiosks (a subsidiary of Radio Shack) the Droid X2 is merely a Droid X that’s being released with a smaller microSD sized at 2Gb instead of 16Gb. The product information states “Please note, the new version will be called the “Droid X2″ in the system to differentiate between the models”.
Of course does that mean they’ll be exactly alike, some internals could have changed. However, this new information suggests that any changes between the current model and “new” model will be minimal. In short, it’s beginning to look a lot like Droid X…
