Motorola Goes After the Galaxy S III in Latest Ad for DROID Razr HD

Nothing like a little civil war, huh? In the world of the smartphone, it is usually the certain type of software that goes after each other. Many pokes at iPhones, and Windows phones, but hey, Android is on so many phones, it is only obvious that the OEMs would turn on each other. In one corner, Motorola with the DROID Razr HD. In the other corner, the most popular phone to date, the Samsung Galaxy S III. Motorola…you better bring up some valid points in this stab ad.

So how many valid points does Motorola have? A whole 2 of them. As you can see from the picture above, it brings up that you can get 20% more battery life than the SGS3 with an HD display. Valid point indeed, but just 20%? Thought it would be more. The picture below shows of the Razr’s KEVLAR fiber shell, while the SGS3 is left with a fragile plastic shell that could scratch or chip very easily. Well that does it! I am now going to tell people to get a Razr HD over the SGS3! No not really.

This ad was cleverly called “Don’t get stuck downloading from another galaxy. Get faster download speeds with the DROID Razr HD.” Which does not make sense since their processors are pretty much the same. The tried my friends. They tried.

Nicely done Motorola, by picking 2 hardware features your phone has over the SGS3. I personally think that 20% more battery life is not really that bad, and oh yeah, there are hundreds of companies out there that make phone covers for phones at a really cheap price that can protect that awesome SGS3 software that blows yours out of the water. Nice try. Let us know what you guys think.
