The manufacturer that loves Android the most may just be Motorola. They’re planning to launch at least 20 Android handsets this year, and you can see that Motorola Droid Xtreme and Droid 2 are part of it. Motorola co-CEO Sanjay Jha said that Motorola will launch an Android powered smartphone with 2 GHz processor by the end of this year. Maybe the next-gen Motorola Android device will come with the new Quallcomm’s Snapdragon series, or maybe nVidia Tegra 2 and ARM’s dual-core Cortex A9. He also said that Motorola will produce two to four phones with front-facing cameras to compete with phones like HTC EVO 4G, Samsung Galaxy S, and iPhone 4.
If you think that the Motorola Droid is old now and its sales are down, you’re wrong. Sanjay Jha said that Motorola Droid “sales are going extremely well”. Motorola is also looking to “incorporate everything that is technologically possible in a smartphone today,†which means that the phone will be a super high-end phone and will come with a high resolution screen, HD recording, 8-5 megapixels camera, HDMI output and more.
Well, I hope Sanjay will fulfill his promise soon. Actually what we want now is the Motorola Droid Xtreme and the Droid 2. It’s rumored that Verizon will introduce this device later this Summer. So folks stay tuned with us.
