Motorola has officially re-entered China by launching three smartphones; the Moto X, the Moto X Pro, and the Moto G (4G LTE).
The news of Motorola re-entering the Chinese market surfaced earlier this month. The American smartphone manufacturer is now all set to take pre-orders for the Moto G (2nd gen.), the flagship Moto X (2014), and also showed off the Moto X Pro. The Moto X can be pre-ordered at a price starting at 2,999 CYN ($479), the smartphone will ship early February. The Moto X 2014 edition will be available in wood and leather back options and will also be the first device to run the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system in China.
The Moto X and the Moto X Pro will come with LTE radios set for three major Chinese carriers, and the Moto G will be offered in two dual-SIM versions for CMCC/China Unicom and China Telecom. The Moto X Pro, which is similar to the Nexus 6, is exclusively designed for China. The smartphone features a 6-inch QHD display, 13-megapixel primary shooter, and a 3220mAh battery. The device also has front-facing speakers and is powered by a 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 SoC.
While the Moto X is set for an early February debut, the Moto X Pro and the Moto G LTE will be released in the second half of the same month. Citing the comeback of Motorola, the company might also release the Moto 360 and the Moto Hint Bluetooth earpiece in the near future.
