Motorola’s been going through a lot of changes lately, as they’ve been losing their grip on the Android device market as of lately. They hope to change that, with better devices throughout their upcoming portfolio such as the DROID RAZR M 4G LTE. However, their next device might be the most impressive so far.
Bloomberg is reporting that Motorola is in the works of a new device that will feature a full edge-to-edge screen, meaning that there will be no black bezels on the side. Here’s their full report:
The model also would be one of the first full-screen phones in the U.S., meaning it uses the entire front of the device as a display. The approach maximizes the screen viewing space by eliminating the black frames or bezels around the display.
If what Bloomberg is reporting turns out to be true, this could potentially be a very good comeback for Motorola. However, other things come into concern, such as placement of the Front-Facing Camera as well as the earpiece and proximity sensor. If the bezel completely leaves, then these crucial components would need to be placed on the screen. Which doesn’t exactly please me.
