There was one board game that I spent far too many of my formative years playing, and no, it wasn’t Monopoly; it was Trouble, and maybe it’s seeing the green, red, blue and yellow arranged in a square that explains my favoritism of Nexus phones (and yes, the Windows operating system). Childhood influencing aside, Trouble, or Ludo as it’s known outside of the commercial world, has been, and is, played worldwide throughout the ages and it’s this reminiscence that YoAmbulante is aiming to rekindle with their new game, Mr Ludo.
Mr Ludo uses the classic Ludo gameplay, but gives it a modern office setting; make your way around the office to try and escape your boring day job, or sabotage your fellow competitors by using some “office politics”.
In Mr Ludo, you can start with 4 pieces, or 2 pieces in Express Mode, and you will have the option of playing against the computer AI, or “Lu-Bots”, playing against 4 local players, or even play with your Facebook friends. Of course, you’ll also have your score recorded on the global leaderboard just in case you want ammunition for gloating.
Mr Ludo is available now on the Google Play Store for free, so if you’re interested in picking it up, hit the Play Store links below. Are there any other Trouble nostalgics out there? Give us a shout-out in the comments.
