How much will the Nexus 6 cost? Paul O’Brien thinks £450 is a good number

Nexus 6 costWe’re quickly bearing down on the suspected release date of at least the Nexus 9, but some of us are infinitely more fixated on the release of Google‘s new smartphone, the Nexus 6. Whether that happens on October 15th or towards the end of the month, one of the biggest questions that is going around, that isn’t to do with its size, is how much will the Nexus 6 cost. At 5.9-inches and a Quad HD display, a similar price to the Nexus 5 would almost be too good to be true, but Paul O’Brien is getting his opinion out there early.

O’Brien, who is best known as founder of MoDaCo, postulates that the new Nexus will cost a very pretty £450, or less, but probably close to that. For reference, the soon-to-be outgoing Nexus 5 sells for £299, which is significantly less than the alleged price of the Nexus 6 and much more than most Nexus owners have ever paid. If there is any solace to be taken from this news, it’s that the Moto X 2014 costs around £420, which does mean you’re getting a Quad HD screen for a steal. Still, this is all just conjecture so we’ll have to wait for Google’s official word to see if any of this is true.
