The long-awaited Netflix application for Android was finally released earlier this month, but unfortunately only supported select devices in its native form. It was assumed that we wouldn’t be seeing the Netflix application hit the market until after the LG Revolution hit shelves as it is the first phone to come with Netflix preloaded. As promised in the initial release, a recent update has provided support for more devices right out of the box.
What’s in this version:
- Various minor bug fixes.
- Fixed application failure on startup when phone’s embedded storage space is almost full.
- Removed check that prevented attempt to playback on unsupported devices.
- Added support for LG Revolution, Motorola Droid and Casio G’zOne Commando C771.
While the newly supported devices are solely Verizon carried phones, you can expect future updates to support even more. To grab this update, head over to the Android Market on your favorite Android device and search for Netflix or simply click or scan the QRCode below from your device.
