Some of you may have already seen this some of you might not have. As soon as the Netflix app officially launch on those original 5 devices, we all knew it wouldn’t take to long for the devs to make it work for as many of us as possible. n1gh7mar3 managed to get the device check turned off and modified the APK for download. The only somewhat of a downside, it only works on Gingerbread ROMs. Which being a Vibrant owner, we know that there aren’t many choices available. Although, CyanogenMOD 7 just went to official nightlies for the Vibrant and a few others. I am currently testing the 05/19/2011 nightly now, so I will get back to you on that later.
Once I did flash the new nightly, I simply installed the modded APK file, signed in and everything worked perfect. So I can personally confirm it working on CM7. As far as the other few Gingerbread ROMs that are out right now, you shouldn’t have any issues. Here is a quick video look of it actually working if you have any doubts.
