As we draw closer to the release of Android 4.4 and the Nexus 5, more screeenshots are leaking out. These shots below come courtesy of Tutto Android, and they found these images that give us a good look at wallpaper and some minor UI tweaks.
Right off the bat, look at those pretty wallpaper. Android seems to never disappoint when it comes to colorful wallpaper choices. You can then see transparency to the status bar, as well as the navigation bar, and those icons on the status bar again show us white colored icons. The app drawer seems to be transparent as well, but what is a little weird is that the app drawer image does not show a selection for widgets like we a re use to seeing. Might be a different to place widgets on our homescreens on pure stock Android 4.4.
If you notice with the homescreen screenshot, there is now SMS app. This is leading us to believe that Hangouts does in fact integrate SMS within its app with the next update. I guess with the stock launcher you will be able to utilize more than five screens, which is not a big deal since more people use different home replacements rather that the stock launcher. Location access menu gets a tweak as well, hopefully saving some battery when it comes to the GPS.
So tell us what you think about these new screenshots. Is it making more excited for the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4?
