Someday’s I love heading into ‘My Apps’ in the market, other days I dread it. The days that i dread are when I see 10 or more apps have updates. It is good to see them, but I hate updating an app that works well already to find out the update broke something. Luckily that isn’t the case with the latest update to
Google Voice. The update that dropped today has a few new additions as far as UI looks for Honeycomb and
Ice Cream Sandwich users. It also has a fancy new ICS styled icon. It looks much better than that silly little bubble before.
What’s in this version:
- Asynchronous SMS sending (offline queuing) – Note that it still works synchronously for multiple recipients.
- New style UI in Honeycomb and ICS
- Official user feedback menu on each screen (previously dogfood menu).
Be sure to pop into your apps and snag the update. If you don’t have Google Voice then you might want to take a closer look at it. You might really be surprised how great it really is. You can pick it up below if you are interested.
