[New Game] Total Defense 3D is more than just another tower defense Game
Android users aren’t strangers to tower defense games. If you have been around as long as most of us have, then you are sure to have played Robo Defense, Jelly Defense, Sentinel 3, Fieldrunner, Plants vs. Zombies or any number of other similar titles that can be found all over the Play Store.  They all have similar game play in a variety of different approaches. All of them are a lot of fun and highly addicting. If tower defense games rank high on your list of games to have available on your device, then the latest game from i-Free Innovations deserves to be installed right away.
i-Free Innovations has just released Total Defense 3D Tower Defense to Android. True to the title and tradition, this is a tower defense game. you place various towers around the map to battle off waves of incoming enemies. You get to upgrade your towers to make them shoot faster and make them more powerful. You have your usual shooting tower, rocket tower and slow tower. You also have a power tower. All of which do their own unique amount of damage and firing range. As you upgrade each tower you get to choose various new tower upgrades, like turning your standard shooting tower into a machine gun or cannon tower. All of which can still be further upgraded as you progress through the missions.
Â
The game goes so much further though. As you progress you earn experience points that you turn in for better weapons, more cash returns and starting money and a whole host of other upgrades. Giving this game a bit of an RPG aspect to it. As you look around the map, which you can rotate a full 360 degrees, you have to bust out some real-time strategy tactics. Placing rocket towers within range of bridges that can be destroyed to force the enemy in a different direction. You have to create blocked sections to keep tanks from cutting straight over to your base and even shoot down monuments and various other things to gain more XP and money.

Gotta love the movie style voice over. The game is pretty amazing. The first set of levels, 7 total, are completely free to play. To get the Red Planet, Brown Planet and Black Planet, you have a couple of options. You can install one of the sponsor apps and give it a shot and then get the new planet for free, You can buy each planet on its own for $1.04 or you can snag all three planets for at once for $1.99. Three more planets for two bucks isn’t all that terrible really. Once you get going on the first set of free levels, we bet you will be more than happy to spend a couple bucks for the rest of the game.
A small tip for those of you just starting out. It took me a few maps to figure out how to get my towers further out on the map. In the beginning you have a limited number of locations to place your towers. You need to place the Power Towers at the edge of the available area to expand your building area. This is going to be paramount for your success so that you can start killing these guys off at the entrance instead of near your bases front door. Also, pay close attention to what enemies are on the way. Some are fast, some are slower and some can avoid the path entirely and climb over the side walls. It gets a little frustrating, but makes it a lot of fun.
