On April 8th, it’s been made pretty obvious that HTC is going to announce a new device, the HTC One M9 Plus. We’ve seen plenty of this device already through leaks, but HTC has decided we haven’t seen enough yet and has put even more explicit hints on some invites spotted in China, one of which specifically highlights the new physical home button at the base of the device. The other invites seem to point out the display of the device (expected to be Quad HD resolution) and the power button on the side of the device.
We’re pretty interested to learn more specific details about the M9 Plus, particularly as it is to be announced so soon after HTC’s most recent flagship, the HTC One M9. It’s definitely going to be interesting, but we suspect that the M9 Plus will be a region specific model, most likely Asia much like the HTC Butterfly series, but we’ll only have to wait a few days before we know the truth.
