New ‘Studio Mode’ unveiled for Google+ to enhance On Air Live Concert Sound

Google launched a new ‘Studio Mode’ for Google Hangout today for live Hangout concerts on Google+. The new tool will fine tune the audio during a hangout to help cancel out the background noise and push through instruments and beats. This will no doubt be a nice new addition for those of you that work out songs together or even for those artists who are planning a live in home concert via a Hangout.

“We wanted to make these live hangout concerts sound more like the stage, so today we’re rolling out Studio Mode,” announced Googler Matthew Leske in a Google+ post. “Studio Mode optimizes your individual audio for music instead of conversation, and no else needs to change a thing!”

All one needs to do is simply start a Hangout On Air then head to settings and switch from Voice to Studio Mode. Couldn’t be much simpler than that. According to 9to5Google, the studio option is only available to the person that started the hangout. So if the music just doesn’t sound right, be sure to let the host know. It does seem to make a difference. Take a quick listen to the demo of a Hangout with it off and then with it on. We can clearly hear a difference in the music, can you?
