Jelly Bean this, iPhone5 that. Where should we focus our attention? Jelly Bean obviously. Just the other day we came across a story from CNET about Samsung planning to release Jelly Bean to the Samsung Galaxy S III
sometime in October. Prior to that we saw a leaked
Jelly bean build for the T-mobile variant of the Galaxy S III. That was back on August 24th and had a build number of T999UVALH2. That build has since been updated and improved upon. The latest leaked Jelly Bean build for the
T-Mobile Galaxy S III is T999UVDLI6.
After cruising through the XDA forum in which this leak was located, there seems to be a lot of great reports. A few issues here and there, but nothing seems to be consistent across the boards, which is a really good sign. We even saw some screenshots of benchmark tests putting this over the 6,000 marker.
We have to point out that this is a LEAK and is labeled as such. So there are chances for bugs and issues. It may work perfect for one person and not so perfect for another. It sure does seem like the
JB update should easily be ready for T-Mobile by October though. Wonder how the rest of the carrier branded device builds are shaping up, or if they are at all. For the brave people out there, you can flash this build at your leisure. It is stock, deodexed, rooted, zipaligned, busybox and CIQ removed. The OP, Wildchild, mentions that if you lose root, just re-root with SuperSU.
No special instructions needed for this one. You will flash just like any other ROM out there. Just head over to Wildchild’s XDA thread for the download link and be sure to cruise through the comments and see what others are saying while you get it going.
