You don’t often see (if you ever see) Sense running on devices not bearing the HTC logo. Sense like TouchWiz isn’t something that normally jumps from phone to phone like other ROMs such as CM7 or MIUI. It requires a lot more work to actually get any functionality, however it seem XDA member apreichner has Sense atleast booting up. The build being offered is merely an Alpha release, meaning that lots of things aren’t working, like hardware 3D graphics and the normal wifi, cellular radio, and bluetooth.
In this 0.1 release, not a lot is functioning as of yet. HW3D is not quite working which is what is responsible for the graphical glitches. Wifi, Cell radio, Bluetooth, probably more is also broken but I havent done extensive testing.
This is why I need you guys to be my alpha testers. Do some investigating, tell me some issues, do logcats, and most importantly have fun!
A 0.2 release is coming real soon which will hopefully fix HW3D, Wifi, and Cell radio. I hope!
Although this is not suggested for daily use, it’s definitely a neat concept. If you’re interested in trying this out check out the XDA thread. As stated by the developer feedback is highly recommended, as multiple bug reports are always better than those done by the one developer, and things sometimes get missed. Wouldn’t it be nifty to see the new Sense 3.0 working on the Nexus S?
