Nokia Might be Heading to Android

I always wondered, out of all the OEM’s that are making phones out there, why Nokia has not made that leap to Android. They have their far share of Windows phones, and even though I am not really of fan of Windows phones, the Nokia versions are built for sexy-ness. Well it looks like Nokia might finally be heading over to our OS full of awesome, which I am sure Microsoft does not want to hear.

A job posting that was shown on LinkedIn by Nokia, has caught our attention that lead to beleive that Nokia might be joining forces with Android. Here is what they are looking for:

Principal Software Engineer, Embedded Linux Middleware at Nokia. Job will be to oversee the development of embedded Linux device software and hardware drivers for our exciting new products.

Embedded Linux is what is exciting us, because we all know that Android is based off of Linux kernel. It makes sense for Nokia to jump onto the Android party bus. Let’s face it, Windows phones might be unique, and run pretty well, but in the world of mobile it has a lot of work to do to keep their heads above water. Let us know what you guys think. Would you buy a Nokia Android phone?
