Looking for something inexpensive that your tech-ish mom might love? How about a
Barnes & Noble Nook HD or HD+? Just shortly after
B&N added full Google Play Store support, they push the price down of their two tablets. No doubt in response to the recent sale price for the Kindle Fire HD that Amazon is running as well. The sale price is running from now through May 12th, so if you want to snag mom one, you better hurry. The
Nook HD has dropped from $199 to $149 and the Nook HD+ went from $269 to $179. A near $100 price cut for the HD+ is a pretty big sales drop. The savings are being offered online, in B&N stores as well as at Best buy.
Personally, just the fact that the Nooks now have Google Play Store support already makes them a bit more tempting than the Kindle Fire to me. It opens up so much more that I could show my mom.
