Nyko reveals new accessories for NVIDIA SHIELD

With the upcoming release of the NVIDIA Shield, Nyko Technologies will be revealing accompanying accessories for the device at E3.

The SHIELD Dock uses Nyko’s trademark charging system, powered by an AC adapter, along with an HDMI port for HDTV connection. The dock can also be used with the Nyko PlayPad, the wireless Bluetooth controller used for Android gaming.

Nyko also created two cases for the SHIELD. The Travel Case is soft, and the Shell Case is a high-impact hard case, with both cases featuring a rubberized interior, a detachable accessory bag and a carabiner.

Lastly, the Power Kit offers all of the adapters for charging the SHIELD in the car or at home. “The kit includes one AC adapter, one car adapter and one extra-long Micro USB cable.”

The Travel Case, Shell Case and Power Kit will be available this summer, and the SHIELD Dock ‘will be released later this year.’ Nyko is expected to release pricing information and additional details at a later time.
