Offline Video Viewing To Come To YouTube Mobile Apps Soon

youtubeMost of us will know that dreaded feeling when you are watching a YouTube video on public transport and you enter a tunnel, damning your entertainment to a world of failed buffering until you emerge into the free airwaves. Well,  according to a recent blog from the YouTube team, those days are numbered as they are currently working on a way to allow videos to be cached on their device for a time “when an Internet connection in unavailable”.

This is pretty amazing news for everyone who does suffer from disconnects when making their daily travels, or simply want to watch without buffering ruining their video. This update would be yet another in a line a very impressive updates to the YouTube mobile app in recent weeks, beginning with the revamped UI to match Google‘s other core apps.
