OnePlus has had a pretty successful, if tumultuous, year overall for a young company, but it looks like it’s already readying to launch its next chapter. According to an invite sent to Chinese media, OnePlus is holding an event sometime on December 17th to announce two new devices. After a relatively successful launch of its maiden device, the OnePlus One, OnePlus is rumoured to be following up with a device powered by a Snapdragon 805 processor, tentatively called the OnePlus Two. Perhaps more interesting is that the second device allegedly to be released is going to be a wearable of some kind, which would make sense given the heart signal emblazoned on the invite.
Details are light concerning either devices, but if the OnePlus One is anything to go by, its successor will be a similar combination of size, power and value – whether it will be more readily available than the OnePlus One remains to be seen. The event should be taken place any time now, and we’ll be interested to see where the device is destined and how much it will end up costing. Let’s hope it turns out to be an early Christmas present.
