Let’s just settle down, OnePlus. We know that the OnePlus 2 is going to be a smartphone much like its predecessor, the OnePlus One – that is, a fantastic combination of high-end flagship hardware and budget pricing. Many consider it a flagship killer thanks to its pricing, and it’s likely to do very well with the Android community. However, OnePlus’ latest tweet seems to suggest that their latest device has transcended all others, saying that the OnePlus 2 is a “2016 Flagship Killer”. Of course, we wouldn’t be surprised if this were just a tiny typo, but it seems a little farfetched that the OnePlus 2 is going to be the phone to get in one year’s time – not that we’re saying that it’s not going to be an incredibly attractive option, but there will be the Samsung Galaxy S7 and HTC One M10, to list a few.

The OnePlus 2 is expected to have hardware specifications like a Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM, 3,300mAh battery and 13MP camera, much of which is already standard-faire in the smartphone industry. Of course, with the tweet also thanking OnePlus’ partners, perhaps there’s a part of the OnePlus 2 that hasn’t yet been revealed that will make it a perennial star. We shall see.
