Performance and Stability OTA rolling out for the HTC Sensation 4G

It looks to be another great day for updates for the lucky Sensation owners out there. Sadly, it is not an Ice Cream Sandwich update, at least not yet. The update does however address various other issues and brings along some improvements as well. The latest update will move your device to version number 1.50.531.31. It is based on Android 2.3.4 and still has Sense 3.0 attached. The OTA will improve on software stability and also help improve your battery life. Who couldn’t use better battery life? As far as improvements go, check out the short list –

  • Improvements to Trace dictionary
  • Screen  unresponsiveness resolved
  • Device taking screen shots resolved
  • Lock screen shifted up resolved
  • Icon pixilation resolved
  • Improved Wi-Fi connection
  • Green lines on photo resolved

As with any OTA from the carriers, it is scheduled to hit devices in waves. The first wave has already begun and all devices should be updated by January 15th. Seems like a long time to wait doesn’t? At least you rest assured that an update to address some of the issues you might have been facing is on the way. You can always head to the Settings > About Phone > HTC Software Updates and hit the “check” button.
