Last week, the creators of adult cartoon Rick and Morty and adult swim games started teasing the release of their new game, Pocket Mortys. It was obvious then that the game was a homage to the Pokemon gameplay that has now become as recognisable as the franchise itself. Pocket Mortys plays on the idea of collecting Pokemon, instead collecting Mortys in all different shapes and sizes. It’s a simple idea, and no doubt something to tide Rick and Morty fans over till the next season is released.
And it’s available today for Android. If that sounds like your type of game, we’ve got the Play Store link embedded below:
Given that the game is free-to-play (with in-app purchases of course), we’re not expecting a triple-A experience like we would with Pokemon. Hell, even if it were just a satirical rip-off, it would be well worth the download given that it’s in the spirit of the shenanigans Rick and Morty get up to in the cartoon. But enough of me – download it yourself and let us know what you think.
Are you going to download Pocket Mortys? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
