Pokémon Shuffle Mobile is coming later this year to Android

Pokémon Shuffle was released on Nintendo 3DS earlier this year, a cute match-3 game that made surprisingly good use of its theme’s pedigree. It’s been announced that Pokémon Shuffle will be making the jump to mobile in the form of Pokémon Shuffle Mobile, and it will be out on Android (and iOS) sometime later this year. This makes it the second Pokémon announcement to come to Android this month alone after Pokémon Jukebox was announced just last week. To take a look at what the game is going to look like, check out the trailer released with the announcement today:

You can clearly see how this game used to be on 3DS, but Pokémon Shuffle Mobile looks to be suitably revamped for the mobile platforms. If you couldn’t guess from the trailer above, the gameplay will be a pseudo-battle like experience that will see you matching sets of Pokémon faces to deal damage to your target, with a chance to capture the Pokémon at the right time. Of course, you’ll be able to customize your team as well, though we’re hoping we don’t have to pay more just for that privilege.
