Quick Look App: GO Launcher EX – New Addition to Home Replacements

I covered this replacement launcher just last month. Just a few days ago though, GO Launcher Dev Team, launched a new version of their application called Go Launcher EX. Sound somewhat familiar? Nice little play on ADW.Launcher EX if you ask me. The application is still very good though.

The dock at the bottom reminds me of LauncherPRO, slide it left or right and you gain more locations for apps. It runs much faster then the previous released GO Launcher. They now have themes available in the market and even an add on app called ‘GO Launcher Notification’, which does the same thing as the ADW Notifier app. Seems to me they tried to take the best parts and features of the top 2 Launchers on the market and make them into one. Which really wasn’t a bad idea. Here is a small list of features from the developer.

-Themes supported (search “go launcher ex theme” to download)
-Smooth scrolling experience (set the flip speed in display settings)
-Icon popup menu (long press icon on the screen)
-Gesture supported (both screen and dock icon)
-Folders and task manage in app drawer (hold icon to enter edit mode)
-Removable screen previews (use two finger to ‘squeez’ on the screen)
-Supported scrollable & resizable widgets (free)

There were also nice enough to include a few tips as well.

Tips : 
-Set the flip speed in display settings .
-Use a up-glide gesture to enter the screen preview ,click “plus” icon to add more screens .
-Drag icon overlay to create folder in app drawer .
If you try launcherPro or ADW launcher ,try Go Launcher .
