Although Google does most of the work for us, there are still reasons to have a back-up app on your Android phone. Besides Titanium Backup, I’ve always been a fan of MyBackup & MyBackup Pro ever since I had my G1. Although the pro version is required for all the features on a stock Android device, the app’s developer, RerWare, LLC, has a nice holiday gift for those of you with rooted devices: a free fully functional version.
Although I personally prefer the app back-up functionality of Titanium Backup, I really do like MyBackup for the messaging, system settings, and home screen backup functionalities. Definently check it out if you have a rooted device and are looking for a good app to backup app.
