Race of Champions now available in the Android Market for FREE

Race of Champions, by Invictus, is now available in the Android Market, and it won’t even cost you a dime. What is ROC you ask? It’s a racing game that features some of the most amazing graphics I’ve ever seen on a mobile handset. The game has a series of head-to-head races with competitors in identical cars on a parallel track. You can choose from an impressive lineup of cars, including:

★ KTM X-Bow
★ VW Scirocco
★ RX-150
★ Solution F Prototype
★ ROC Car
★ VW Polo R WRC
★ Skoda Fabia S2000

The courses have been designed based on real tracks from recent ROC events in London, Paris, Düsseldorf, Gran Canaria and Barcelona, featuring tarmac and off-road surfaces. The developer has also promised more cars will be added in coming updates, so the game is sure to get even more exciting as time goes on.

The controls are simple and intuitive. You press the right-hand, bottom corner of your screen to accelerate, and your brake button is in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. The buttons are not visible until you press them, so it’s best to know where they are before you start playing. Tilting your device to the left or right acts as your steering wheel, but you’ve gotta get a good feel for it before you’ll be ready to get out there and race, so make sure to run a few practice laps first.

There are also three different game modes:

★ Championship Mode: Race through 4 different scenarios and 4 Championships at the ROC tracks in London, Paris, Düsseldorf and Gran Canaria.
★ Duel Mode: Challenge opponents ahead of you to jump up the online rankings.
★ Time Challenge Mode: Race against the clock using a ghost car to beat your previous best lap time.

There are two things that make Race of Champions stand out from other similar games. First, as I previously mentioned, the graphics on this game are second-to-none. Words can hardly explain how beautiful and impressive they are, as they provide an experience very similar to that you’d get from playing a console game. Simply put, they’re stunning. See the video at the end of this post if you don’t believe me.

The next thing that makes ROC a fierce competitor for the best mobile game of 2012 is the fact that it’s free. I’d read about this game not long ago on another Android site, and have been waiting for it ever since. When I got the email today and found out it was free, I was shocked. How can something this hot be free?

The game itself is a 13MB download, but you’ll need WiFi access to download the required files to make the game run. They weigh in at a little under 250MB. To get your copy and hit the track now, all you’ve gotta do is click or scan the link below. Enjoy!
