The Moto X 2nd gen is easily in the top 10, maybe even the top 5, devices of 2014. Motorola did a fantastic job at taking the previous years Moto X and beefing it up to flagship level all while keeping the out-of-pocket price reasonable. It gives more people a chance to get something great off contract without having to forgo eating for the month. When you pair the 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 full HD display, Â quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP camera for $399, it is sure to sell well. Push that same device to a carrier like Republic Wireless who offer plans for the device at $5 a month and the general public really wins big.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t deals and more ways to save. For a very brief time tomorrow Republic Wireless will be knocking$50 off the $399 price tag of the 2nd gen Moto X. That is a heck of a way to start off the launch of the device with the MVNO carrier. The deal is only available while supplies last between December 10th at 8 a.m. PST through December 11th at 8Â a.m. PST. With it being the launch of the device, it could hit their site a little later though. Additionally, the deal extends through Motomaker as well, as they are quite the partner with Motorola as all their devices are from them. If you opt to order through Motomaker you can get $50 off any color option on the 16GB or 32GB variant, where as the RW page only give you access to the 16GB black model. You will need to make sure you are getting the Republic Wireless enabled version of the Moto X 2nd Gen to get the $50 off on Motomaker though, which I don’t see as an option at this time.
Specific terms for the purchase can be found here.
Any current or potential Republic Wireless customers going to be sitting idly by to get one ordered tomorrow?
