[REVIEW] Samsung Galaxy S4 Cases [Updated – New Pics]

SGS4 Flip Cover

We all love a new device, and you can’t get much newer than the Samsung Galaxy S4.  For those lucky people that managed to get their hands on one, you’re going to want to protect it.

We have managed to get a couple of Samsung Galaxy S4 cases to have a look at, though unfortunately I do not have an S4 to try them out on due to the limited availability.

First up is the Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Flip Cover.  Like the same cover for the Galaxy S3, this case replaces your back cover, and provides you a built in flip cover.  Oddly this case is in what appears to be Pebble Blue, not Black Mist or White Frost, possibly hinting at other colour options down the road?

The case itself feels nice an solid, and the front has the same brushed feel to it that the previous generation did, while the back retains the plastic feel, albeit shiny with a carbon pattern.

S4 FlexiShield Case

Next up is the FlexiShield Case.  Which is shiny.  Really Shiny.

I was provided with the black version (Black Mist?).  It feels pretty sturdy, and will definatly repel most dirt from your Galaxy S4, and shouldn’t slip out of your hands.

It’s made of a tough gel, designed to be flexible yet really tough, and it feels it too.  Being made of gel, and being pretty flexible, it should provide a nice snug fit to your Galaxy S4.

It comes in a variety of colours including White, Green, Purple, Orange, Pink and Grey, to satisfy every colour combination people might desire.

I would recommend that if you buy the FlexiShield, buy a screen protector along with it, as these cases over cover the back and sides of the Galaxy S4, it offers no protection for that gorgeous new screen.

You can pick up these cases and more at any good accessory store.

[UPDATE]

I finally got to play with a Samsung Galaxy S4 in my local Everything Everywhere store today, so I’ve managed to get some updated pictures.  Enjoy.
