Root method available for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus

We can all now add another fantastic Android tablet to the ranks of the root community. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus hasn’t been out all that long, but if you picked one up today is a good day. It seems like most devices get root before they even launch any more, but we are glad to get it either way. They recommend against trying the root method on the T-Mobile version as of right now. That doesn’t mean there won’t be root for it soon. You can do what you please, but I am sure you wouldn’t want a new shinny brick sitting around after you just got it. The root has been confirmed for the unlocked WiFi model (P6200).

The process will require the use of Samsung Kies installed on your PC, transfering a root.zip file and getting into the stock recovery. The whole process is outlined in detail and looks pretty easy to do. We will keep our eyes out for some ROMs for it in the near future and be sure to get them up on Community Release as soon as we see em.

For now though, head on over to bdigitalstudio XDA thread for instructions and files.
