Rounds updated its video chat and calling app for both Android and iOS devices today. One of the most notable features included in the update enables co-browsing, via a partnership with Channel.me.
While in video chat, users can browse the same webpage, with both of them able to click links and type in new URLs from their respective screens. Live video streams are shown in thumbnails while in co-browsing mode.
Users have open access to any website in co-browsing, including new compatibility with Google Search, Wikipedia, Preen.Me, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, Amazon, eBay, ESPN, The Huffington Post, wanelo, Imgur and TheFancy.
You can also use Rounds to play games during video chats, watch YouTube videos together, add Instagram-like effects and upload photos.
Other new features included in the update include:
– Bug fixes and improvements
– Vastly improved calling protocol to make sure you connect!
– New option to send text messages while video chatting
– 3 new games! Tumble Wars, PenPals and Classic Games
– Invite multiple friends to join the app with one easy tap
– Added FAQ section with common questions and answers
Rounds Video Chat Hangout can be found on Google Play, or directly from the Rounds website.
