With the over whelming success of the
Samsung Galaxy Note and the
Galaxy S III, it isn’t to far-fetched to believe that other manufacturers might be looking to capitalize on size. A new rumor is floating around that
HTC might be working on a new 5-inch phone for the world to get their hands on. Making the screen slightly larger than the S3 and slightly smaller than the note might be a seriously great sweet spot for a lot of people. Digitimes states the device will be sporting a screen resolution of 1794 x 1080 and is said to be announced officially sometime in September or October.
If HTC plays its cards right and makes sure it has a quad-core processor and support for LTE here in the states, then it could turn out to be a pretty great device. We fully expect to find Sense 4 built-in, but not sure if HTC will make the push to Jelly Bean, or disappoint with Ice Cream Sandwich. Anything is really possible. As with all rumors we will just have to wait and see what HTC has in store for us. Hopefully they can pull a big win out this year, they could really use it.
