RUMOR: Gingerbread Coming to High-End Devices in October?

According to Unwired View, Gingerbread is rumored to be coming this Fall and only to devices that have a 1GHz processor. Keep in mind, rumors are just rumors. They are claiming that Eldar Murtazin, from Mobile-Review.com has revealed some info about Gingerbread on a Russian podcast. What are some of the rumors that I am speaking of?

  • Gingerbread is said to be coming in October followed Android devices in November.
  • Only 1GHz devices with at least 512 MB of RAM and a screen size of 3.5″ or higher will be capable of running Gingerbread.
  • A revamped UI is slated and we can expect to see major revisions done to the look and experience.
  • Gingerbread will be bringing new resolution support for larger devices. 4″ displays or larger will be able to use 1280 × 760 resolution which would provide better clarity.

Like I said before, rumors should not be taken as fact as these rumors could not be fact, but these are definitely something to look for.
