Dubbed the HTC Jewel for now and pulling in an HD screen, we can assume it will be similar to the One X in some fashion. At least the screen quality should be. The HTC Jewel will also be one of Sprints premier LTE-capable smartphones. With Sprint sticking true with HTC and the EVO branding, the Jewel could easily become something like the EVO HD LTE. Or something similar anyways. I personally predict a similar spec’ed device as the One X for AT&T. With another Qualcomm dual core chip at around 1.5GHz. They will most likely add in the signature kickstand and I wouldn’t at all be surprised if they kept the built-in batter with no SD card slot too.
No leaked time frames or launch dates have been offered up by the source just yet. We imagine that if it didn’t grace MWC, then it should take center stage at CTIA in March. That leaves us to ponder just where Samsung will be with the Galaxy S III by then. It would be a shame to over shadow a new EVO with device that is hotter than an iPhone right now.
