We all assumed this was coming, we just didn’t know when. In fact, we still don’t know when — but after a post from good ol’ Paul from MoDaCo, it’s starting to look like the date may not be too far off.
According to an HTC insider who managed to get their hands on the initial internal test build, the HTC Sensation and Sensation XE are the intended devices for the build. Unfortunately this is all we have to go on just yet, but there’s hope that Paul’s mention of screen shots coming soon will soon become a reality.
One thing people will need to keep in mind here, the Sense 3.5 version of Ice Cream Sandwich is not going to look like the ICS you’ve seen plastered all over the Internet. Instead, this is going to be the HTC Android experience (you know, the one I dislike so much) with bits and pieces of Ice Cream Sandwich laced in. According to Paul, Facelock will be there, but the new ICS keyboard has been replaced by an updated HTC IME.
I’ll keep an eye out for any official screenies. When I get them, you’ll get them.
