[Rumor] Leak potentially indicates HTC One XL with LTE support, quad-core and 2GB of RAM

Well here is an interesting one that fell across our email account today. Apparently there is a quad-core HTC One XL out and about in testing. According to smartdroid.de, this is the first Qualcomm S4 quad-core variant device under testing to be capable of U.S. LTE service. We can’t confirm, nor deny that some sort of device like this isn’t out there in the wild at this very moment, but it is almost a little far fetched. We know NVIDIA, Samsung and Qualcomm are working to make the quad-core processor’s in the U.S. a reality, but we don’t expect to see them available in a device that we can use until at least the end of the year.

The screenshot shows a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 4.7-inch screen. We only see a 720 resolution for the screen an 8MP rear camera and a 1.8MP front facer. What is this magical and amazing device you ask? Well, it could very well be an HTC One XL. Who and where this potential device could land it beyond us. We will definitely keep out eyes peeled for more information around a potential quad-core device that works in the states, but until something more concrete is available, this will be filed as pure rumor and speculation for the time being.
