The closer we get to
Samsung‘s unpacked event on May 3rd, the more we wonder what is going to be shown off. We knoe the
Galaxy S III is definitely on the docket, but will Samsung have anything else planned to share as well. According toÂ
Maeil Business, Samsung should be showcasing their new S-Cloud storage service. The rumor pegs Microsoft as the cloud partner and the service is said to start off at 5GB. Which is comparable to the upcoming Google Drive cloud storage that is also expected to be announced shortly. MB says that the service will be similar to to Apple’s iCloud but without the pesky file type restrictions. They also make mention that the service is expected to ship with free and paid content for access to TV shows, Movies and music.
Does the world need another cloud service? It sure as heck couldn’t hurt. If they offer a way to either buy more space for a great price or some sort of referral offering it has some potential. I look forward to seeing what else Samsung may have up their sleeves.
