Don’t even start with me on this device. No that was not a typo or a misprint. The
Samsung Continuum on
Verizon is that redheaded step child of the Samsung line up. It was a novel idea with the secondary ticker window. It didn’t catch as much ground as wither company would have liked. This poor little forgotten device is still stuck back on Android 2.1 and has never really been mentioned since it was launched. For those of you that might be carrying one around will be pleased to hear that a work-in-progress update to
Froyo 2.2 is now available via
XDA. If you are thinking of giving this update a whirl make sure you have the following first –
- Download everything you need.
- Odin
- Froyo Radio
- ROM+Kernel
- CWM Kernel
- CWM update.zip
Once you have it all you are ready to get to work. This is a rooted, stock, deodexed version of the ROM. It should be pretty slim and not full of bloatware.
Head on over to XDA to get the full install instructions and get that poor little device a helping hand in the right direction.
