Samsung Epic 4G Gets Another Gingerbread Leak

Some might argue that leaks are a terrible thing to rely upon when you are looking to get your device updated. Being a firm believer of ROOT and custom ROM’s I would tend to agree. If we look at it on a broader spectrum though, this means that Sprint and Samsung are actually working on getting an official update out. When that might be occurring, we will just have to wait and see. It sure beats wondering if they are even working on anything though.

The latest update for the Epic 4G now moves to EG22. Which doesn’t mean a whole lot. Heres a brief meaning of the code though.

Details:
SPH-D700EG22
Model = D700
E = 2011
G = July
22 = Version
Android = 2.3.4

This proves that it is a July build and Android 2.3.4. Gotta hand it to the guys for getting this out there for everyone to enjoy. There is no official changelog and I can only speculate that this latest version will only have minor updates and bugfixs. It is still nice to see them coming out though.

Check it out at SamFirmware.com and see what the people are saying. Feel free to give it a go and let us know if you notice any differences from the previous build.
