A few weeks ago, we heard a rumour that Samsung might be working on a flip smartphone device, dubbed the Galaxy Folder. More information has leaked out since then and we are being told that the Samsung flip phone will likely be called the Galaxy Golden, even getting a leaked photo which you can see above. No questions why it’s called the Golden then.
There have also been a fair number of suspected specifications leaked as well including a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and Android 4.2, and what appears to be a pair of 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screens on the inside and outside of the flip phone’s top section. It’s rumoured to be release in South Korea around mid August, but who knows if it will ever see the light of day away from there. Still, it’s an interesting idea and we’ll wait for word to see if it has done well or not.
Would you consider a Samsung Galaxy Golden if it ever came to your country? I do miss smartphones but a numeric keypad is too retro for me. Let us know what you think in the comments.
