For those that are not really fans of huge phones, Samsung had another piece of technology to show off at today’s event. The Galaxy Gear Smartwatch has been talked about for the past couple months, and after seeing some dreadful looking leaked pictures, we finally get to see what this wearable technology looks like. Judges…looks okay to me. I was not expecting anything too fancy, and there is a slight sexiness to the smartwatch. Here are the specs of the Gear:
- Unspecified 800MHz processor
- 1.63″ Super AMOLED display at 320×320
- 1.9MP camera
- Accelerometer, Gyroscope
- 4GB internal memory
- 512MB RAM
- 36.8×56.6×11.1mm body at 73.8g
- 315mAh battery
- Dual microphones for noise cancellation
Was not expecting the watch to have camera capabilities, but yes, you now will have the ability to snap photos with your watch. Not sure if that is needed in a person’s life, but I guess it could be useful for quick, crazy photo opportunities. They also promised huge app development for the Gear, and that older Galaxy phones like the S4, S3, and the Note series will be able to work with the gear after they receive a firmware update.
The Galaxy Gear will be available September 25th alongside the Galaxy Note 3, so who plans on getting one? Let us know if you do down below.
